To lead is to show the way by going first.
The boss has something to prove. It’s her personality. She drives. People fear her; maybe she likes that. There’s an underlying aggression. Could be why she’s the boss.
The leader is driven by an idea. She inspires people. Her leadership is tied to her ability to express the idea.
Anyone can be a leader. With the right idea, at the right time, and the courage to drive it forward.
Not all bosses are leaders. Not all leaders are the boss.
